I Shall Rise Again
ALIAS – RESURGAM
Anticon veteran Brendon Whitney returns for his first proper solo album since 2003's "Muted," delivering an impressive album of instrumentals, as well as a couple of vocal collaborations (with labelmate Yoni Wolf of Why? and One AM Radio). Whitney's starting point for his music is firmly rooted in hip hop, but there's a freakishly wide range of other influences as well. Tracks like "Death Watch" and the title track have an almost Ulrich Schnauss-like soundscape of textured electronica.
