School of Seven Bells

SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS - ALPINISMS

The Ghostly International label’s School of Seven Bells is comprised of members Ben Curtis (formerly of the Secret Machines) and twin vocalists Claudia and Alejandra Deheza (both formerly in the band On!Air!Library!). Their latest album is “Alpinisms,” and it gives the listener a terrific combination of psychedelic electronica and dream pop.

Islands

THE MARY ONETTES - ISLANDS

Sweden’s Mary Onettes follow up their terrific debut. Described by critics as the perfect mix between A-ha and The Jesus and Mary Chain, the foursome survived a difficult recording process (first someone stole the hard drive that held all the music the band had recorded, then the backup hard drive failed), to release “Islands.”http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
